Vignette - is a brief evocative description, account or episode that gives a particular insight into a character, idea or setting.

Street photography is a bit like a treasure hunt, what opportunities will present themselves in the next minute, appear around the next corner or in the next market stall. Vignettes are successful if they draw you in, cause you to daydream about another’s life or to be curious about what they are thinking.

“Some vignettes tell stories, rare ones capture the essences of a place while others pose questions about what is going on,” said Bill Scull. “Hopefully these images will evoke you in these ways, transport you into the minds of the individuals captured as they go about their lives in Cuba, Italy & India.”
