Hi Alex,

Thank you for wonderful pitures. You've brought many happy memories back for me. I have not been back home since I left many years ago and these pictures are just a reminder needed for me to work hard and save my $ so that I may go back home and visit someday soon.

Thank you for good memories.

Thankyou for your comments. The camera I use is a Canon EOS 30, which I enjoy using, but I am looking to buy a digital version one day, developing film can be expensive after a while.

Hello Alex:

Imagine a Laotian who does not love Laos. What happens to him or her? I have lived in Europe, West Africa, Asia, and America, but no place is like my motherland Laos. I go back to Laos most often for home visits and I never get tired of it. Soon the time will come to retire in Laos for good.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.

Hi Alex, Well what an amazing vacation you had! I've now had time to look through your other galleries and they all are just as beautiful as your Laos shots. I shouldn't be getting "political" out here, but I can't resist mentioning that the U.S.A. has a short memory, and we learned absolutely nothing from our misadventures in Vietnam and Laos--and here we are again--"killing, disrupting and making everything so much worse" in the middle-east... Makes my blood boil!
And thanks for the recommendation of a polarizing filter. I did use one 40 years ago as a teenager and remember that I had great success with it. I'll give it a try. And, I have to check my photos on another monitor today, because I am starting to suspect that my monitor adjustments are set too dark--and that I might be washing-out my photos inadvertantly.
Thanks again for sharing your photos of Southeast Asia. Absolutely beautiful!
