This shot was taken of a deer that was in the Arboretum here in Madison. This is smack-dab in the middle of town. I have seen wild turkey in here as well. It is amazing to me to think that this oasis actually continues to support such wildlife. There is a major four-lane highway just beyond the trees in the background. The state capital building is behind me only a couple miles as the crow flies.
