This fellow has a big smile because just before this photo was taken he had caught a whopping 3" - 4" fish. I don't think they have any size limitations on fish caught in the moat surrounding the Forbidden City. They obviously do not follow the "let 'em go, let 'em grow" philosophy of fishing because he kept that little thing. I guess you catch 30 of them and you have enough fish for a meal. That is, unless you eat the entire fish in a single bite.

I asked the man whether he caught bigger fish at this spot as well and he laughed and said no.
