The smog in Beijing reaches all the way up to the mountains north of the city where portions of the Great Wall of China can be visited. I have pumped-up the contrast in this shot to minimize the impact of the haze. What a shame that polution from development is as bad as it is. The Chinese people that I spoke with we OK with it up to now because their overall standard of living has improved materially. In the choice between owning a TV / car versus having clean air, seeing the sun through the smog loses.
