Comet McNaught syncrones, portions of its tail, looking SW after sunset. The comet 'blossomed' a few days ago as it left our view in the northern hemisphere. Took these on my way home, poor light pollution conditions, but syncrones barely visible to my DSLR (not my eyes). In addition to a wonderful street light, a crescent moon also didn't help imaging:) A small military flare from around the Barry Goldwater range can be seen in the lower right above the small light dome from Gila Bend, Arizona.
