40 years ago this June, I was 14 and the family took a west coast vacation. I have a picture of me standing on this bridge. We were visiting relatives in Lancaster and everyone decided to travel to San Francisco. My Uncle and his family were living in Lancaster. He worked for Lockheed and planned out the trip to San Francisco. He said, "We will go up thru the valley and come down the coast". Wine country and strawberry fields forever going up and a very beautiful trip down the coast back to the L.A. area.
