Joćo Pessoa, Paraiba

The mandacaru (Cereus Jamacaru) is a Cactus common in the North-East of Brazil, that often grows up to 5 metres (20 ft) high.
The flowers are white and about 30 centimetres (1 foot) wide. Each flower lasts only for a night. Theit particularity is that they only bloom at night and wither by the morning.
