This frame from a series taken of this bird was awarded third place, Digiscoping Category by WildBird Magazine 2008 Annual Photo Contest. It was shot Feb. 25, 2008 at Sauvie Island Wildlife Area, Portland, OR. The Juvenile Harrier is guarding it's prey, an American Coot.
