Oct 14-15 - Pokhara is a beautiful city on the shores of Lake Phewa. It and the lake sit in the shadow of the Annapurna range and Macchapucchare (Fish Tail, the most famous massif of the range) is visible from most of town. Being the starting point for one of the most popular treks in Nepal, the town is pretty touristic with the many trekking shops selling fake North Face gear and the lakeside restaurants that cater to Western tastes. Still, the place has great charm and the people are genuine and friendly. The views are breathtakingly spectacular in this place.
