An impressive installation featuring imagery of the earth's surface from NASA is currently on display at Trinity College Dublin. 'Gaia' is an illuminated, floating globe sculpture that showcases the planet in three dimensions as viewed from space.
The large work was created by British artist Luke Jerram, who wanted to highlight the beauty and fragility of the earth. Measuring 23ft in diameter and featuring 120dpi detailed NASA imagery, the globe slowly revolves
