Nikon f/1.4 50mm. I focused at f/5.6, thinking that maybe the wide opening before was an issue. Nope, shooting at f/1.4 produced the same result, a region 5 inches out was in focus, not any deeper. The same setup, stopped way down, produced a reasonable focus.
