MONROE TWP.- On July 5, 2012 at approximately 17:25hrs. Monroe Twp' Fire Department responded to a working structure fire at 293 Spotswood Englishtown Rd involving Discount Auto Centers, an automotive repair facility, and a Chevrolet Express 2500 van located next to the building. Mutual aid from Jamesburg, Spotswood and East Brunswick District 2 fire Departments were also on scene. The Monroe Twp. Rescue Squad set up rehab for the emergency responders. The fire was contained to the corner of the building where the van was parked. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Monroe Twp. Bureau of Fire Prevention.
