On June 2, 2012 at approximately 10:30pm an MVA involving two pick-up trucks occurred on Old Stage Rd and Brunswick Ave on the East Brunswick/ Spotswood border. The OBVFD, Spotswood Fire Department , Spotswood First Aid and Medics responded to the scene. A passenger had to be extricated from one of the vehicles. Five people went to the hospital and two people refused medical attention. The accident is under investigation by the Spotswood Police Dept.
