On April 4, 2007, Easter Sunday, a motor vehicle crashed into a tree and overturned in front of 405 Highway 18 southbound killing a 16 year old female passenger (from East Brunswick) and the 19 year old driver (formerly from East Brunswick). The fatal accident is under investigation by the East Brunswick Police Department(732)390-6900 and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office (732) 745-3300. It has been reported that another vehicle may have caused the accident and is being sought by authorities.
