Watchful Woodpecker

Brazos Bend State Park, TX

With a nest full of babies inside the tree, the parents were busy taking turns at gathering food.
Each time one returned to the nest a flourish of chirps erupted from the hungry babes.

This was taken with a 1.4x tele-converter, resulting in 1120mm, with a fairly slow shutter speed.

other sizes: small medium original auto

It looks plenty sharp to me at that shutter speed, Sayer. Well done.
