Pesky Egret

In Our Garden

This egret frequently visits our pond to snack on the declining goldfish population.
It is standing on the fence just above the pond in this photo.
See below for two more photos of the pesky thing.

It was quite stubborn and let me get very close while keeping a watchful eye on the big lens:

After a few minutes it ignored me and started scoping for more goldfish, so I crept closer:

I'm with Janet. Go to the five and dime and buy that gorgeous specimen as many appetizers as he/she wants. Hope the toads are smart enough to hide when it's dinner time. Great to see you back photo-ing.

I'd be stocking the pond with whatever appetizers this egret desires! Fantastic captures that are sharp and very well exposed.

Modelling fee: A couple of goldfish/ day ;o)
Cover the pond with a net, right under the watersurface so it doesn´t look so ugly OR buy more goldfish? 2 solutions. OR feed the egret, it´s beautiful!
