Timid Tree Swallow

Robert H. Long Park - Commerce Township, Michigan

We found this nest while walking through a wooded wetland area.
The swallow seemed unsure about leaving the nest after it spotted us.

The lighting was dim, resulting in a very slow shutter speed for the focal length.

Nice sharpness with the slow shutter, the light is hitting him/her just right too.

You caught his timid expression, Sayer. The tree makes a great frame.

Great shot Sayer. I like the natural framing of the tree (except for that drilled hole just under the swallow - but that's the way it goes sometimes). Glad to see you're still getting good use out of that big glass and that it is performing well for you.

This is one to frame and put on the wall, just delightful!

The swallow looks so cute peeping out of his hole, the colours on his head show up beautifully!
