Detroit Terns

Common tern colony at the Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge in Grosse Ile, MI.
It was amazing and challenging to photograph the terns at their nesting site.
The common tern is considered "threatened", but may soon change to "endangered".

Great gallery Sayer - they are a delight to watch, and certainly challenging to photograph. The Common Tern in the UK is also being helped by the organisations to help increase the numbers, so hopefully they will be seen more often in the near future.
