These are shots of carolina wrens who feed their fast growing babies for about 5 days in the house. The adults are constantly finding bugs, spiders, ants etc for their consumption. Both adults and babies make a sharp, staccato chuck noise with variable cadence patterns which I assume have meaning. The only one I'm certain of is the long continuous and somewhat faster pattern which seems to mean either danger or anger. I have liberally interpreted their other patterns and used those as the picture captions.
