We had a brief stop on top of a dune and were able to watch the other vehicles pass us by and this gave us the chance to watch the trucks take the dunes from another perspective. While we were standing on top of the dune you had to be careful how you moved because the sand shifted easily underneath your feet especially if your shoes were flat, what gave you the best traction in the sand were vibram style boots.
