250504 - Activity day 1

Activity day for the lower primary children
This is the day we got to interact with the children. We had planned 3 game stations for them. I got up quite early as usual and went to the school field for a jog. I loved to run on the field, I could run for as many runs as I can without much perspiration. That day, I ran 20 runs and some of the children even started to run with me.

I even got to play some games with the children. We played catching, ~{@OS%W%P!<&~}. They just loved to run. If I were to play this kind of games in Singapore, I suppose people will think I have not grown up. It was there that I could really let go and enjoy myself thoroughly. Missed that feeling, the fun I had with the children.

In the afternoon, as I was in charge with one of the games station, my friends and I went to set up the station. It was kind of like a relay game where the children had to pass all kinds of obstacles before going back to the group. The children loved it, I suppose that was one of the rarest days they could take part in this kind of team games. I heard from the teacher that they did not organise this kind of games due to the lack of manpower, because they are afraid that accidents may happen.

In the evening, we were invited to have dinner with the teachers and some representatives from the village. We had the chance to interact with the teachers and learn more about life in the village. As for the food, there were simply too many dishes. All the dishes were cooked by their main cook and they were all traditional food which are used to serve visitors or during special occasions. 8 main dishes. It is also in this special occasion that alcohol is usually served. As I had orange juice in my cup initially, I did not know for what reason, plum juice and later beer were added into my cup subsequently. The taste was simply 'great'! In the midst of our conversation, the village secretery went around every table thanking us for our contributions to the village. I felt really honoured and it should be us that we should thank for their hosptality.
