Shihui got sick and was admitted to the hospital.

Cold. The temperature really dipped when it rained. It can get as cold as 12 deg Celsius.
We could even see snow on top of the mountains from the school.

There was nothing much we could do on a rainy day except teaching English to the primary school children. Teaching the children will be a rather memorable experience for me. I have never taught before, not even give tuition. Luckily, there were always 3 other friends who were there to teach the class as well. Initially, I was being assigned to a primary 2 class. They were extremely shy initially, but when we asked them to introduce themselves, they could say their names one by one in a hustle. Someone had to stop them or we could not even hear their names. Even though I taught them for only 1 lesson, some girls even wrote me letters before I left. It was rather touching.

Due to some shuffle, I was assigned to the primary six class together with Yusen, Kai Fen and Shihui. This class had 42 class, typical of a class size in Singapore. The class monitress, yes I know there is no such word as 'monitress', I should have used the word 'monitor'. Anyway, her voice was clear and sharp when she called for attention. I like the feeling when we walked into the class and everyone stood up just to greet us. I think this must be what every teacher felt when they went into the class, the feeling of being responsible for the children's education. I know I'm not the vocal type, but I tried to add in whenever I could. It was always Kai Fen who stole the limelight from the 3 of us.

It was drizzling and I brought a group up the mountains, thinking that the rain would stop along the way. We climbed and climbed until we nearly reached the clouds. It was a challenging climb and I was repimanded by Qiuyan for bringing them on this dangerous adventure.
