Another wonderful castle in the Touraine. Foulques Nerra built a fortress here in the 10th century and later this castle was built by Louis XI between 1465-1469.

Ann is the only woman to have married three kings. She gave birth to many children who died at or shortly after birth. But with Louis XII she had a daughter Claude, who would later be the wife of the popular king Francois I and after whom the delicious plums (reines claudes) have been named.
