This is a rarely seen dragon from the Top End. It is probably more common than people think...it's just that it spends most of its' time in the tree tops. This one didn't seem too worried about being photographed... it seemed much more concerned about kites flying overhead and was constantly watching out for them; they probably are a major predator. A friend once hit one of these in his car... not with the wheels but with the windscreen...it apparently fell out of trees overhanging the road!!
