We drove from Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Dinosaur National Monument on August 1st.
The drive takes you through the Flaming Gorge.
The Wyoming Office of Tourism has a sign just sitting out along US 191 titled "Art Gallery of Time".
It has information about John Wesley Powell's trips down the Green and Colorado Rivers (look, a history lesson!) and is a fabulous place for photographs.
We were here about 8:00 pm and the light was just perfect! It looks like one of those cowboy paintings at the Starving Artist's sales!
John Mayer's song "3 X 5" has the line "Today skies are painted colors of a cowboy's cliche". What an accurate description of these colors!
