Effectivily, Couscous is a traditional dish from North Africa.
Couscous is the name of semoulina (hard wheat).
After, you can make this kind of dish like your own.
Any Couscous for each cooker and each country.
Why not wine with a traditionnal couscous ?
If you are Moslem and if you practice, your drink will be without alcool.
If you are not Moslem, you can choose any beverage.
Algeria and Morocco are big wine-producer countries.
If you know this countries, you will see some poeple drink this kind of beverage with couscous dish, this time we were in France and this couscous is really a traditional dish from Algeria (1948 !).
Certainly not the best, but very closed !
Sorry for my english.
I prefere to talk Arabian language ! ! !
Thanks a lot for your comment.

Couscous has always been a traditional dish for centuries in countries like Algeria and Morocco, I have never heard of or seen people accompanying it with wine like that. I just find it not authentic.
