These images posted so far were all taken in January. The merlin, snow buntings, horned lark, tree sparrow, and rare sightings of a sage thrasher are from Salisbury Beach State Park, MA and the immature Cooper's hawk was just outside the entrance. The red screech owls are from Essex near Gloucester and Salisbury and the grey screech from Rye, NH. The female merganser was taken by the Chain Bridge in Amesbury. The female kestral was in Newburyport along the road just before the bridge to Plum Island. Red-breasted mergansers and common eider are from Jodrey Pier in Gloucester. The Wild Turkey pair in the Snow was taken in my backyard in Westford and has been published in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Nature Photographer magazine.
Sandy, you have a gallery of great photos of avian creatures that are extreamly well post processed. They are all artful and enjoyable to examine. Thank you for posting such beautiful photos.
