TINTED MONO

CHURCHTOWN, SOUTHPORT

I was looking through some old images of hand-tinted mono pics, where a b&w print was given a light wash of colour, over skies etc., and a few details were picked out in colour tints. I've always liked hand-tinted prints and I did a few back in the old days, using real inks and prints.

I wanted to try and replicate the feel of these subtle coloured prints, digitally, so I popped up to Churchtown again to photograph another thatched cottage, as I thought that would make a suitable base picture.

I have just figured out how to add a thumbnail link to the original, so if you want to see it:

I would like to know if you like it or not, and why, so please leave a comment, they are all appreciated. Thanks.

I love what you've done with this, looks brilliant. I must go and photograph these cottages myself, as I only live a short walk away!!
