20-JAN-2005

Rain all day, combined with spending the afternoon with friends, meant that I still hadn't got a PaD shot by the time it went dark. I was left trying to get a shot by room lighting or flashgun, I tried a few macros but the light wasn't right on any of them. I was sitting at the computer, looking at the pathetic attempts I had shot and getting more frustrated. I decided that I needed something with a built-in light source. HEY, the monitor is self illuminated !!! Grab the camera, point it at the screen and shoot the list of files in 'My Pictures'. Bingo, that'll do, it looks terrible at 100% size as all you can really make out are the red / green / blue dots, but reduced down the wording becomes much more prominent. I didn't sharpen it after resizing, as that made the pixels more distracting again.

Oh well, it's not going to be in my favourite PaD shots list but it is the best I have come up with today. I'll try and get something better tomorrow.

Some days it is difficult, keep it up though.

That's certainly one of the 'emergency shots'. Stressful this PAD isn't it? Better luck tomorrow, but well done for posting!

My turn for semi-reasonable weather. Windy but dry...!

But it's a fun photo anyway. Dreadful day!

There wasn't a chance of outdoor shots today was there? I don't think it stopped raining all day. I see you have a chester zoo folder, haven't been there for ages!
