I have recently started keeping some mantids, with a view to using them as photographic subjects, as well as unusual pets of course. I obtained three assorted pairs a few days ago and so far have done just the one shoot with one mantis, a male sub-adult ghost mantis.

As an initial shoot to test some techniques, I am very happy with the results so far. I look forward to doing more shoots with these fascinating creatures.
