We started our November 2010 trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tellico Plains, Tennessee to see and photograph Bald River Falls. After shooting the falls, we became fascinated with the reflections of the fall colors in the Tellico River. The four images selected for this gallery were shot just seconds from each other in a place where the color was particularly intense and was not washed out by the rising sun. As I was shooting these, the scenes and colors and patterns reminded me of aerial photographs of traffic, which inspired their titles.

These images have been prepared as 20x16 prints, including the titles/mattes, and are available as limited edition prints. Enjoy!
