These images were taken on a photo safari in the Eastern Okefenokee in April, 2002. With an experienced guide in a canoe, we spent 5 hours exploring this wild and mysterious wonderland. I only wish I could have captured the quiet and solitude of this enchanting wilderness. If you ever have an opportunity to explore this fascinating ecosystem, I highly recommend that you take it. You will emerge from the swamp somehow changed, and the change may be for the better!
