I learned a trick on this shoot today on getting the macros "sharp." It may sound stupid, but previously I was half pressing my shutter and waiting a few seconds to take my shot. Today I half pressed and took the shot just as soon as I got the focus lock. I think my previous delay was causing me to move just a few millimeters, just enough to get inconsistent sharp focus. In this series of more than 100 images, all were tack-sharp. Also this is the first shoot with the camera setting adjusted to soft sharpening and soft contrast. I do see the improvement in doing all of this in PS. Also, just for the record, most of the images needed no levels adjustment in PS. Most of the exposures were dead-on! Enjoy!
