Macro Tests

This simple test illustrates the effect of using various teleconverters and extension tubes on a 50mm f1.8 MkII lens. In each shot, the subject was placed as close as the camera could focus on the subject. The image caption describes the add-on accessory. All were shot jpg, resized in PSCS, and quickly sharpened using Russell Brown's Layer Sharpening Routine. The flash was provided by a Canon 550EX with a Stofen Omnibounce. Each was shot using manual camera mode, f11, 1/80 second shutter speed, Iso 100.
