Today I had an opportunity to experiment with my new Canon 30D shooting one of my favorite subjects, the butterflies of Callaway Gardens. The 30D was outfitted with the Canon 550EX flash sporting a Stofen Omnibounce and all were shot with the amazing Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro lens. All images were shot RAW and post-processed in PSCS2. Really there was very little to do beyond the RAW converter than resize, frame and sharpen. In all, I can see a bit more detail in these when compared to my Canon Rebel. The 30D is a joy to use and is a very capable camera. Comments and suggestions always welcome.
