Things are starting to make sense with the Rebel, as I cross the 1000 image mark. For the macros today, I set the camera in manual mode and used the FEC on the Canon 550EX. I'm amazed at the ability of the flash to keep up with the exposure on these. Notice the wide range of apertures in this gallery! Shutter speeds of 1/100 to 1/160 were adequate to keep camera shake to a minimum, since all of these were hand-held. All images were shot in jpg large/fine, and were processed in PhotoShop using levels, moderate USM, a simple frame added, and resized for web. Comments and suggestions welcome ~~~ jim
