In West-Central Georgia, the Fall season is just beginning to show it's charm. Most of the hardwoods are still green, with the occasional exception. These photos were taken on an early morning ride down a number of country roads, many of which are still not paved. The landscape for this area is mostly woodlands: many pines and hardwoods. There are numerous pastures and cattle farms. There are a few wood shacks in various stages of decay scattered across the land. Tall fireplaces standing in fields are the tombstones of yesterday's homesteads. These are my memories of a ride down a country road in early fall.
I enjoyed my "walk" down your country road. I love many of these photos, especially the ones with the trees reflecting in the pond and also the fence. Did you get POTD on some of them? I surely hope so!!
