A follow-up attempt at a more reasonable focal length, using a Canon 600mm/4.0L IS lens with a 1.4x tele-extender. Above is a typical 5-minute exposure at ISO 1250 using an Astronomik UHC filter to cut down on the light pollution. As is obvious, the remaining light pollution is still quite severe, necessitating the stacking of a huge number of frames to get any nebulosity to come out.
