The inscription is so poignant:
"We see the feeble babe
snatched from the arms of a fond mother,
and turned into a cold lump of clay.
It opened its eyes, saw the light,
shut them, and departed
as if it were loathe to tarry
and endure the storms of life."
What sorrow!
