6. Touchdown: That Familiar SE Asian Air

The minute I stepped off the plane at Manila's Ninoy Aquino Airport,
I was hit with that familiar Southeast Asian air. Those who have been
to this part of the world know the deal; that thick, hot air with the
wonderful aromatic blend of pollution, and light, putrid sewer smells.
Gotta love it! :-)

Tom, thanks for your comments, most appreciate it! Hey, have a safe trip, I think you're going to feel right at home in Manila :-)

Hi,

I'm planning to go to Manila in the next few months. Its great not only to have a first hand account of the place, but also some stunning visual aids too. I lived in Bangkok for 4 months, and if the smells of Manila are similar, I will settle very quickly indeed.
GREAT WEBSITE.

Mike, thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you can relate to that wonderful SE Asian air :-)
Good luck with your studies, and have fun going back home, I loved your country! You've got
some wonderful images in your gallery, by the way. Best, Sam

Hi Sammy,
I just laughed reading your thoughts on SE Asian air. I'm here in Rochester, NY for some biz grad studies, but I'll be heading back home to the Philippines in Sept 06. BTW, enjoyed reading your comments and pictures about the Philippines.

Mike
