I was trying to get a shot for the family history books, but it
was so damned hard to get these kids to sit still! I came out
with one usable shot.
Note: Was able to play with a Sony A99 which I used for this shot.
Awesome camera! But...will it be a modern "classic?" Or will it
be the last of an abandoned experiment?
All I can say is that based on initial results, this camera produced
better image quality than the A850, also a great camera that I had briefly.
Images are sharper with better definition of details which surprised me since
it uses a translucent mirror in the optical path and also has 24mp's just like the A850.
The high ISO's are better, but that should be expected for a much newer model.
Sony is a great company and they do know what they're doing. A99 Rocks! :)
As for the cheap Rokinon lens, it is optically great and if you don't mind manual
focussing, it will save you about $1000 over the Sony 35mm f/1.4 G lens.
