So I passed by good old Shea Stadium on the
way to the BBQ. Let me tell you, I feel terrible
about all this planned destruction of historic
stadiums like Shea and Yankee Stadium. These
insitutions are legends in this city. On the
other hand, I do understand the need for change,
for something new, I mean this is a new era right?
But come on, Shea Stadium? Yankee Stadium? If they
can demolish these, then there's truly nothing
sacred. It's all about the bucks, ain't it?

On a kind of related note I recommend watching "The Day the Music Died", it's all about how the need for quarterly returns destroyed the art in the music industry.
Now our new conservative state government here is talking about moving the Port somewhere else and building some great big water front housing development... I think it is plot to move the Green and Labour voters out of the area and stack it with people who vote for the more conservative parties.
Yep, it's all about the big $ in the USA. I don't live in there and this pisses me off. I think every fan of baseball should be pissed! Sports franchises have little loyalty to the fan.
