lucky you...... mate did El Cap and took 5 days portaledging it. He is keen to go back one day and I'm hoping to rope up with him for it - I really want to get out there!!

Steve, Thanks for the note. I've been planning to hike Half Dome for several years and finally felt I was able to get in good enough physical shape this year to do it. I'm 51 years old and I'd have to say it was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Already planning several more hikes up Half Dome next year, next time starting out from Glacier Point and also possibly Tenaya Lake via Clouds Rest. Cheers, Sam

Great shots. Me and my brother and a friend did Half Dome for the first time this past August. It took us about 6 hours and it was hell after the first hour. But, nothing can ever take away that feeling you get when you look at half dome now and say " I did it!" thanks for sharing your pics. Steve
