I did this series of photo in 1968. These 4 transparencies have withstood and endured , fire, flood, earthquake and most dangerous of all one really ticked off
x-girlfriend. I remember walking into the photo shop and saying to the guy behind the counter (who was a complete techno nerd) something like "I'n bored, give me something different". He hands me this box and says (the best I can recall) This is infrared transparency film, you know, infrared like relating to the range of invisible radiation wavelengths from about 750 nanometers, just longer than red in the visible spectrum, to 1 millimeter, on the border of the microwave region". Understand?
I replied "ahhhh ya", paid for the film and left.
