Each year I look forward to my annual trip up St. Mary's Mountain, to view and photograph the Fall Larch Fir. This year an eary snow storm dumped quite a lot of snow up there and I had my doubts if I could make the drive all the way to the top. I through my chains in my truck and decided to attemp the trip. The color was really nice and I managed to get some real nice images. I finaly ran into snow and as I began to chain up I decided to walk a ways and see how the road was befor I ventured any futher. After walking for a ways I decided I did not wish to risk sliding off the steep road and be stranded up hear all by myself. Discreation was the better part of valor in this case, besides I'm just to old to be spending a night on the mountain...
