 Peaceful AfternoonIf you have a mind at peace, and a heart that cannot harden,
Go find a door that opens wide upon a lovely garden.

 A Leaf of A Different ColorBut now in September the garden has cooled, and with it
my possessiveness. The sun warms my back instead of
beating on my head ... The harvest has dwindled, and I
have grown apart from the intense midsummer
relationship that brought it on."

You who walk,
Maybe with troubled thoughts,
Come, enter here and rest;
And may the sweet serenity of growing things,
And the heavenly,peace
Be mirrored in they soul.

 Sitting In A Cemetery |
 Here Lies GertrudeWas she born on Jan. 4 1900? Or did she die on that date? Probably both. I have a feeling this is the grave of an infant. This little grave is along side the road in the cemetery--surrounded by fancy gravestones. Here lies Gertrude in her unpretentious resting spot. I don't know anything about Gertrude, except she lived and she died and she was someone's daughter. |
