Home of delicious spicy dishes, Sichuan is home to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center. The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is in the carnivorous bear family but eats mostly bamboo shoots and leaves. There is also the Red Panda, which is not considered a bear but perhaps a raccoon.
