The Blackpoll Warbler is a long distance migrant, that comes through the Ottawa area, later in the Spring. Usually difficult to photograph, as they are found at the very tops of tall trees. However, when starving, after a long journey, they need to refuel and can be found low down gleaning bugs. Hence, they are more confiding and giving one less neck ache!
