This gallery illustrates how to use the mask created earlier (in the sister gallery to this one) to replace hot pixels in a digital image with pixels from a reasonably interpolated image.
The process is quite simple. We first create a blurred version of the original, and using the mask, overlay the blurred image on top of the original. This replaces the hot pixels with ones sampled from the neighborhood of the hot pixels.
